You just have to change the barrel. If it's a traditional bolt action you need a gunsmith for the job. If it's a modern design with a barrel nut you can do it yourself.
I had a ruger 7-08 and one of my electriciians offered me to good a price to pass up so I sold it. I have 2 243 rifles and the CZ is beginning to burn the throat after over a 1000 rounds so I thought it is such a great rifle why not convert it if it is not way to expensive.

Labor to R&R barrel, set headspace, crown, reblue barrel & receiver tends to be about $250 plus or minus. Does not include drill & tap (or dovetail) for iron sights.
Cost of barrel: You decide the quality, material, & length of barrel you want. Cost varies widely. Used from $50, new match barrel is a couple hundred.
