Does the C&R license holder have to sign for the firearm delivery or can any adult at the residence sign the acceptance from FedEx? So far, I've always been there to receive them but I may miss the next one.

I've never been asked to show my license, so the delivery driver probably doesn't care past the "adult signature required" bit. Just want to be sure.

It depends on the person/dealer who is shipping the firearm. If he chooses Adult signature any adult can sign for it. Personally I have never received a firearm that requested my own signature. Most carriers have no idea what they are delivering.

Any adult is my experience.

Or, in the case of a few C&R's I got, they just left it on the deck! :what:

+1 to Captcurt's comment that the carrier probably has NO idea.

Agree. I have received about 70 C&R firearms. 75% of the time, any adult signature is OK. 20% of the time, the box is thrown on the porch with no signature of any kind. Maybe once have they insisted on my signature.

Thanks to all! I sent instructions with the check to hold delivery but you never know if they may ship on autopilot once they have the money.

Biggest issue is probably burning up the inspection period in an unopened box. But not much exposure really on a $350 rifle.

All of mine have required a adult sign. Once a shipment of 3 rifles, 2 were delivered and left on the porch. When the third one came the driver wanted a signature.

That is the gospel truth. I've had many firearms just left out on the porch since I got my C&R in 2006.

I have received C&R firearms marked for signature that were just left on the front porch. Found when I got home from work. Oh well.....

I've ordered C&R guns from most of the major retailers (AIM Surplus, JGSales, SOG, and Widener's). From them, so long as any adult signs, you are all set.
