Hey guys,
It's another Ruger Mk II 22/45 owner stepping up with reassembly problems! Don't get me wrong, I've owned this gun for several years and have field stripped it many times, that isn't a challenge. But I ran into a problem after a routine cleaning the other day.
I field stripped it, gave it it's fix of CLP, and began to reassemble. However, when I was reinserting the recoil assembly to the bolt, it simply wouldn't fit... It seemed odd to me, but it was just to dang long.
For reference, see this photo: http://www.wiztechs.com/knightsrealm/guns/22-45/boltdiagram.jpg The recoil assembly (on far left) won't insert back into the bolt.
At first I thought the recoil assembly might be bent or something, as I found on this trusty website (problem number 6): http://www.1bad69.com/ruger/field_strip_pcs.htm
But it seemed straight to me. I am obviously missing something here guys, anyone ever run into this problem? Advice? Thanks guys
