Do any of you know of a prefit recoil pad for a Marlin 1895 .45/70 with the pistol grip stock? I tried a pach slip on (it was the shorter one, not the longer one), but after about 3 shots, it slipped around to the side. I would prefer one I could screw on, without having to drill new holes in the stock.

I do not know this for a fact, but I would bet you that Limb Saver makes a fitted screw on pad.

They are outstanding. I shoot a 71/2 pound TC in 45/70 and it is only possible because of the Limb Saver! Mine was a pre fit screw it on pad that cost a bit under $30.00.

Yeah Yeah Yeah

For some reason I just don't enjoy getting slammed by that gun. Others might, but not me.
