A buddy and I want to split the costs of a really good sight pusher. We mostly want to move in front and rear sights and do some adjustments.

He is mostly modern guns, I am mostly older guns.

When I read over the reviews in Brownells or Midway, it seems like about half like the various pushers and half don't like them.

Anyone got a good recommendation of one that really works?

sight pusher

yes it does, I have one and use it daily. By the way, Dafish, Laserlyte has a very similar model now for 135.00(dealer price)only slight difference with knobs and a little plastic on pusher. But your is priced where most can afford it. I have used it from 1911 style to mausers

I have the B&J Machine model 500 and I love it!

I used it on the rear sights of many Glocks and several Berettas. Never had to move a dove-tailed front sight, so I can't comment on that function.

Just got my sighttool pusher and used it this morning to swap sights on my Glock and my xdm; the glock was a piece of cake but the xdm was a bear---it worked but it was WORK; the front sight broke while pushing but it wasn't that hard to get the dovetail out.

However, the pusher part was really marred up after the xdm---it now has 2 different 'levels' since the first 1/8" or so just mashed into a mess. I have contacted Danny to see about getting a replacement part.

Sight blade

Send me a picture of the part and I will send you a new one, I farm those out locally and need the picture to send to my shop.

I will gladly replace it.

On the XDM's you should use penetrating oil in the dovetail and let it sit for a day.

The XDM's are tough ones.

Danny

I used liquid wrench before I started on the xdm, due to some threads I read here and on another forum; couldn't believe how difficult it was, especially compared to the ease of the glock.

Thanks Danny

New blade

Your blade will ship on Wed. (no charge)

It will have two very small welds on the top so you can file them down for a
fit with no play, it will also have a 60 degree angle milled on one side for angled sights with no ledge for pushing. (specifically gas filled sights)

Btw, you can turn the other one around and use it for a spare.. or file it at a 60 degree angle for a two sided blade.

Thanks for your patience,
Danny

Thanks Danny; It's good to know some vendors are still willing to stand behind their products!

I intend to use it often from now on
