I want to get a fanny pack holster for walking through the woods and maybe for when riding an ATV. It won't look cool, but it would probably be a good fit for me. My pistol is a Ruger P95, a full-size 9mm.

I keep running into the Biannchi, but they are fairly high. Do any of you have any recommendations for a good fanny pack? I want one that has an internal holster and a fairly wide belt. Also, what is a fair price to pay?

everybody mentioned the Wilderness Safepacker http://thewilderness.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2&products_id=18

but not sure if that is "beefy" enough or has a belt...

i'm a huge fan of maxpedition products. here's their true "butt pack", the proteus

here's another... combo sling bag/buttback:

i like a shoulder sling bag of theirs, the jumbo versipack which has an internal holster...

i keep my service XD in this without a problem with tons of room for other stuff.

lastly, they have a pretty sweet drop leg bag i've been thinking of getting:

all their gear is top notch and very heavy duty... basically nuke proof.

I've had good luck with the following :http://www.gungear.com/cgi-bin/ez-catalog/cat_display.cgi?3X300536

I like them for a variety of reasons :
- Well made...and washable.
- Reasonably priced.
- Choice of colors other than just "tactical black", and you can even pick a contrasting trim color; leather option for dressier occasions.
- Variety of sizes.
- Additional holsters for different guns can be inexpensively purchased to expand versatility.
- Low cost Velcro bullet and magazine holders.

- regards
