I carry a j-frame in an Alien Gear holster with a tucked in polo every day. If you "blouse" out your shirt around the waist a bit, it really disappears.
If you go with the Alien Gear get their new Neoprene model holster. MUCH more comfortable for all day, day-in day-out carry than the leather ones. I know because I have both.
Edit: I found that 2 o'clock carry was the best position for tucked in carry. That way the slight bulge looks like your normal hip bone. YMMV of course based on what you prefer.
