Recommendations on Bore Sight/Laser

I have rifles in .22, .223, .30-30, ,30-06 and 7MM Rem Magnum. All have decent quality optics, but I don't get out often to practice with them and make certain they are zeroed. I want to buy a decent quality bore sighter to get them ready to go to the range, but I have no idea what brand/type to purchase.

Should I go with one of the cartridge shaped lasers that goes in the breach or a bore sighter that goes in the muzzle with a spud?

A bore sighter does not sight in a rifle without shooting it.

All they do is get you close enough on the paper to finish sighting it in.

You can do the same thing by setting the rifle on a cardboard box, and looking through the bore at a target and dialing in the crosshairs to get close.
