I am getting ready to purchase a red dot site for my Sig 320 and I am trying to decide between a 3 MOA site and a 6 MOA. What would be the advantage of 6 moa over 3 and vice versa

It would be used a lot at a timed bowling pin shootIf you are going to shoot matches I would go with the 6moa. At 25 yards the dot will be about an inch a a half and it will be faster to pick up. For target shooting the 3moa will be more precise.
Both have advantages. The larger the dot the more the target area will be covered by the dot. Regarding using the optic against live targets I can't see using a #6 unless I was hunting dinosaurs or something of equal size.
6 MOA isn't all that big.
For me, shooting multiple targets fast was a good bit easier with a bigger dot.
