Red dot and magnifier question

Hey everyone, I have a question about my red dot. I have a Nikon Monarch VSD Red Dot and I would like to get a magnifier to mount behind it on my shotgun. I am currently looking at a magnifier from here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280777898360#ht_2292wt_1124

I want to know if I can use this magnifier with my red dot, so if anyone knows if this will work, please let me know.

Do you have a 12 gauge? Most magnifiers have very short eye relief. It looks like this one is no exception. The recoil of a 12 gauge will probably be too much for a magnifier with that short of eye relief.

Nope, it's a 20 gauge Mossberg.

That's right on the edge. I would take extreme caution when you have the magnification all the way up. Also, I did not see a height specification on the magnifier, but it is probably around 1.5" to optical center. You will most likely need a riser under your Nikon red dot to line the two optics up.
