red dot battery contact points

There are three sets of double contact points in the battery compartment of my Truglo red dot sight. Coincidently, the battery
is also dead. I'm trying to find a CR 2032 locally (you wouldn't think
this is such a difficult task but it is). Meanwhile, should I be concerned with a broken contact point in the battery compartment?
Truglo is not an easy company to get hold of so I'm hoping someone
here can help.

It's a common flat type battery that should be available at Wal-Mart, Radio shack, etc.

It's according to which post is broken. If it's the only one for the center (+) post it won't work. The posts around the outside usually has more than one post and it will probably work. Hope this helps and good luck!

If I have time I'll venture out to Walmart tomorrow. I suspect you're
right -- it's not the center contact. Thanks.
