Yep. Definitely quick enough for a non-combat arm.

I like the screw heads or nuts on optics mounts that are cut for a coin the width of a USA nickel. The back of a common house key will fit that nickel wide slot well enough, too.

I have to get out a magnifying glass when the screw heads are that small to tell the difference, but, if memory serves, I think you're right. In any case, I do have a small wrench of the correct type in the gun case to remove the base.

Now that I think about it, I think the SIG red dots come with a neat little multi-tool. Don't remember if it has somewhere to put it on a keychain but a hole could probably be drilled.

I've just gone to a lot of effort to have both an optic and iron sights on some guns. I always make sure I can quickly remove the optic without tools.

I did try the AmDef QD mount on the Henry base and it did not fit. Picatinny vs Weaver. IMHO, the Henry base is too tall anyway. Need to look for an alternative but mine is wearing a Leupold 1-4x in Warne QD rings.
