I have a Bushnell TRS-25 that I'm mounting on a 300 BLK upper I just built. Normally, I mount my red dot scopes as far forward as possible on the upper receiver, but not onto the handguard rail at all. I was wondering if I could mount this one where it would overhang the free float handguard rail about an inch. The mounting point would still be on the last slot of the receiver rail but about an inch of the mounting base would be on the handguard.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

As long as you have a decent quality handguard that wont move around you're good to go. I've done similar with NV setups
