Red Dot w/ short rail

I'm looking for a decent (but not TOO expensive) red dot to mount on a short (2.75") rail. Any suggestions?

Vortex has some moderately prices options. The Aimpoint PRO is about $440, that's a pretty good bang for your buck.

Bushnell TRS or Vortex Strikefire.

The strike fire is about $40 more, but it does have some added benefits (cowitness with AR-15 sights if you get the high mount option, has red and green illumination, comes with X2 magnifier, and comes with flip up lens covers.)

I use the TRS on my range guns and the strike fire on my practical rifle guns.

Many thanx....I'm likin that Bushnell TRS 25. It says "Weaver style mount". Do you know, will it fit on a Picatinney, 1913, w/o modification?

It def will fit a picatinny rail. Picatiny is basically weaver with more slots. Anything that fits a weaver will fit a picarinny, but not vice versa.

Thanx for the input, all. Much appreciated. I ordered the Bushnell TRS 25, from Amazon, $79 w/ free shipping. Will put it on my Mini Draco, front rail for now, until I get my dust cover rail. (Pretty much just experimenting !!)

Primary Arms told me that its supplier in China has put an indefinite hold on production. PA's website says delivery is expected at the end of 12/12 but I'm not so positive that will be the case.

Millet has a 1X red dot for a decent price at MidwayUSA right now. I don't know about the rail length requirement though. I was shocked that it was less than the TRS.
