Looking for a good red dot scope for my 22 pistol. I don’t want to break the bank but I also would prefer a quality optic over a piece of junk. Anything around $100 give or take $20.
I like the Millet SP-1. It's a 1" tube, 3MOA dot. Cost is about $90.
I recomend avoidint the sights with multiple size dots. If the knob gets bumped, it will throw the sight off.
The SP-1 has exellent optics and a very precise dot.
For about that price range you can get an Ultra Dot from www.larrysguns.com
They are used by many serious competition shooters and Larry is a great guy to do business with.
I currently have three and will no doubt end up owning more.
I have two Ultras but the best value is my tasco Pro Point 2. paid about $60 from Midway and the optics are absolutely crystal clear, and the dot is perfectly round and clear. I am having problems with the new UD's (trying to buy another one) and also Milletts having astigmatism distortion through the lenses. If you shoot with only one eye, no problem. two eyes and they will give you double vision.
I also ahve an OKO sighter which is very good for about $165 (rail sighter similar to hakko and C-more).
