Greetings,
-30-06 caliber.
-Redding Competition bullet Seating die.
-Lee Turret 4 holes (with the automatic thing removed and the platic thing removed to have just the ram column.
-Once fired crappy FC brass. (And I won't shoot it more than 2 times...hehehe). Trimmed, chamferred and deburred.
- Sierra 30 cal .308 dia 150 gr spitzer pro-hunter bullets.
Questions:
1 - Am I doing something wrong because the COAL is between 2.878 and 2.888. I would have though I could have gotten better COAL variance with this die.
2 - Will it be a factor and hurt my accuracy such a variance or is it because of the bullet exposed lead tip, plus the caliper imprecision that makes that variance? I am saying that because I can get under 1 MOA at 100 yards with the normal Lee die with the same setting, but I never really cared too much about the COAL variance.
Thank you
