Since I bought my Dillon 550 for pistol I haven't been using my T7 for 3-4 years. Getting back into rifle reloading and want to set it up for rifle. After getting the T7 out of mothballs I found out the ram was frozen solid in the press frame. About a half can of Kroil over three weeks and a couple of whacks with a heavy hammer today the ram broke loose. It wasn't rusted nor was the ram/bore scored. It looks like the lubricant I was using turned to varnish and locked it up.

Fortunate. No offense but better you than me—I’ll be sure to use gun oil from now on as they suggest.

I lubed a ram w linseed oil once. Was very difficult to break free.
Boy I bet that was tough. That stuff turns into a hard shell. A 50 50 mix of that with kerosene makes a good protective coat for steel parts out in the elements (after it dries).
