I want to refinish the stock on my Mosin Nagant. I just wanted some input from some of the members of the forum. Any methods you have used, any tips or helpful hints, etc. Don't worry any of you puristsout there, there is nothing that makes this gun so special that it would be sacrilegious to alter it. It's just a post war Hungarian Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine that has 2 different serial numbers on the gun. No emblems or symbols that are unique. It has all the markings that a 1953 Hungarian Mosin should have, but nothing unique. I plan on getting at least one more Mosin, including one in better condition to keep in pure form.
