Okay, simple question... Reflex sight on a shotgun. Anyone have any expereince or thoughts on the matter?

I have a 870 Wingmaster, and it will see mostly clays, and eventually deer and/or ducks. But I have no qualms about using it in "social situations" in the event of a home invasion, civil unrest, or SHTF scenario.

If I do get one it'll be a Trijicon, since I live in the same city that they do, and I like to support local business whenever possible.

I tried one on a cantilevered barrel on an 11-87 for a while several years ago. Didn't like it and was never able to get used to it, maybe too long shooting conventional beads or sights on shotguns but it just didn't ever work for me. I was playing with the gun as a 3-gun 'game gun' at the time.

Only way to know is to try it and see how it works for you. I have no problems at all using the same Reflex on a flat-top AR... but it was 'no joy' on the shotgun.
