make .260 brass from .243Win

.260 Rem brass is very expensive compared to .243 or .308 brass. I make all my .260 cases from .243Win at half the price. I simply run the new brass through my .260Rem full length sizer die then check for trim length. Easy as pie and excellent accuracy and case life.

I NOT SURE IF YOU CAN USE 3006
but i picked up some 243 and the head stamp said 3006, so if you can use 243 couldn't you use 3006?

i don't have that info in my reforming booklet

i do use 3006 to go to 8mm
and 264 to swiss 7.5x55

I reform .30-06 to .243, and .22-250 too.

It's a lot more involved than simply pushing the big case in into the little dies the way it is for making 7-08/.308 into .260 tho. :)

Actually you could use .270Win, .30-06, 7X57, .257Roberts or any rimless case with a .470 diameter base and more than 2 inches in length. To use .30-06 brass you would have to trim it to length and probably also neck turn or ream after forming. .260 from .243 brass is a piece of cake

i think im just going to use 243 win brass and make sure i keep it sorted into it's own boxes and not ever mix them.... maby mark them with a marker after loading....
