Hi,

Many people talk about using their conversion barrels (often Lone Wolf) in their Glocks. I guess I'm speaking mostly of .357sig & 9mm in 40 caliber Glocks. I've never heard anyone speak about any reliability difference. Anyone have any experience with this? Any trouble?

No issues with my Lone Wolf 40 to 9 in a G27. I'm sure there will be others that pipe in with extraction issues, etc. Chances are though that most will not have problems.

I am using Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrels for G22 and G27. The G22/G27 extractors grip enough of the 9mm case rim so replacement is not necessary for reliable extraction. Standard ejector has worked reliable also.

Only thing to change for reliability has been the magazines. G22 requires G17 magazine to feed 9mm reliably, but G27 has fed 9mm rounds well with stock magazine. Of course, G17 magazine works well for G27.

I think some people experiencing feeding issues with G17 magazines and conversion barrels is due to worn magazine spring and follower that do not allow proper feed angle to the chamber.

If you are using reloads, failure to extract completely and resulting stovepiped cases is due to not enough powder charge to push the slide all the way back. In my experience, 9mm reloads need to be loaded to high-max load range to reliably extract/cycle the slide, especially for subcompact G26/G27 with stiffer dual spring recoil setup.
