Reloader 17 and 7.62?

Anyone know if Reloader 17 would work with a 123 gr 7.62x39? Have a ound and nothing to load with it...

I also load .223, 9mm and .50 AE.

Too slow. Quickload says it would take 120% case fill to achieve 45K psi.

RL-15 maybe, better served by Accurate 1680, H-322, H-4198 , IMR 4198, RL-7. I would not waste RL-15 on 7.62x39.

Rel-17 is in the 4350 family for burn rate, and is not a viable powder for your needs. jibjab laid out some of the options for you.
I used to load 7.62x39 with Rel-7, and it worked well.

You can use the RL-17 for your .223.

It's not ideal, and you should stick with 75gr+ weights, so hopefully you have a 1:8 twist or faster.

I just loaded up a couple hundred Nosler 80gr with 24.8gr of RL17.

No good though for 7.62x39.
