Reloading 32 Shorts.

I have a few 327 Federal Magnum revolvers and I have a set of 327 Fedetal Magnum RCBS dies.
Will these dies reload 32 Shorts or will I need another set of dies.
I have a bunch of 32 short brass.

327 will not roll crimp 32 short the 327 seat/crimp die body is too long for the 32 short case to hit the crimp step.

The answer is yes and no. The sizing/recap die will but the seating and expanding dies are too deep. Get a set made for the shorts and they will work for all them up to 327. At least my Lee dies will. I got a deal on a set of 32 ACP dies for a deal and they work other than the shell holder I found out. The 32 short set has the same seating die as the ACP set BTW as l have both Lee sets.

I will pick up another set of dies. I will probably pick up the 32acp dies. My grand son wants a KelTec p32.

Should I use cast lead projectiles?
Or will jacketed bullets work?

Like said, your dies will also do the 32 H&R magnum and 32 S&W Long but not the 32 Short.

Midway is currently selling a full set of Lee 32 S&W dies and they are only $33.99 and they have a Carbide insert.

Midsouth Shooters has a set of Hornady dies that will do 32 S&W Short & Long for $45.01.

There doesn't seem to be much available for the 32 S&W but they are still available.

Edit: I would use lead bullets and I liked W231 when I did load 32 S&W ammo. A 75gr to 85gr bullet shoots great IMO.

I have used both lead and jacketed in my 32 short reloading. I used TrailBoss as I had 3 jugs of it on hand. I used the instructions they provide to find max load and reduce. I ended up around 5% below max for my most accurate load. Remember not to ever compress TrailBoss in any load. I load for 2 old H&R black powder top break revolvers, those are my weakest ones. The 32 long brass will fit them but shooting the longs with factory loads will damage/destroy them.
