Lately I've found myself browsing the LGS and classifieds for a cheap large caliber rifle. Something like a 30.06, .308 or .270. Not because I have any use for such a rifle, I don't hunt, I just want to reload for it. Any one else have similar problems?

Reloading addiction? Yes!

I reloaded some this afternoon, not that I needed the ammo.

Buying a gun just so I can reload for it? Not quite there yet. :)

Be very careful with this hobby. The cost of new rifles in different calibers is only the tip of the iceberg. At it's base is the cost of bigger and better safes to store the rifles in.

A good portion of my gun collection came to be due to finding a large amount of brass on the range that I didn't have a gun to reload for.

I can only hope one day I am fortunate enough to stumble upon a pile of 50 BMG brass on the ground!

Thank you for sharing that, b/c you made me realize that I am not alone in my addiction. Maybe now, I can get some help.......or not. :)
I've never actually purchased a gun just so I can load for it, but when I find myself with the funds to purchase another firearm, I refuse to get a duplicate caliber so I can load for something else. I guess that's kind of the same thing.

I have bought rifles because I found a good deal on a set of dies or a bullet mold.

Reloading... one shooter's addiction is another shooter's therapy.

I really like to reload for a couple of my guns because they allow for different loads for different purposes. Opens new doors for load development. E.g. my 243 Win and 357 mag. Using different weight bullets and different powders, I get to "double up" on my fun!

I load six different rifle calibers (6.5x55, 270 Win, 7mm-08, 270 WSM, 308, 30-06) two pistol calibers (9mm and 40 S&W), and I am looking for at leased seven more firearms (223, 243Win, 300 WSM, 338 Win Mag, 45 ACP, 44 mag, and 375 Ruger) so yes I think I have a problem, and enjoy every second of it :D
I have enough brass, bullets, powder, and primers to last the entire zombie apocalypse and then some LOL

I reload for 8 handgun calibers and that keeps me busy without looking for more.

I just have to read discussions of a new caliber and have to get the dies and firearm ASAP !

I WISH :neener:

Processed 100 pieces of 7mm08 brass today before work Made another 25 out of .308 brass as an experiment :scrutiny: yes I would say I have a problem.

I have purchased 6 rifles simply because I wanted to reload for those calibers that I didnt have yet, 4 of which I have now reloaded ladder test rounds, but have never fired a shot yet.

I develop loads for rifles I have already found great reloads for, simply to try different bullets, or powders, or primers, or brass prep differences, just so I can keep reloading more!

I also do all of this on a single stage...

That is why I have a secured room now...
