Hello,

I recently got my hands on 500 plus peices of .45 ACP Armscor brass. They are all marked AP 09. From the research i've done, i found out they are Armscor and made in 2009 based on the headstamp. I haven't been able to find much information on success of reloading this brass. Has anyone here used it? How many reloads have you gotten out of it? Any problems?

Pretty much exactly like all other major 45acp brass. I don't see a difference.

My favorite load for the 45 ACP is a 200 gr SWC with 5.3 grains Winchester 231 which is just under the listed max for this bullet/powder combo and I probably get around a dozen reloads in all of the brands of brass I have used .

ReloaderFred,

Thanks, That helped a lot. I've managed to deprime and resize 400 rounds so far. They all look good to me...I really cant tell a difference between them and winchester or remington. I am assuming I'm okay to use the same data i would normally use for winchester or remington cases. Especially since it seems many people do not bother sorting brass for .45acp and get by fine. I stick with startling loads anyways. I figure if i need something hotter, i can always get me a 10mm :D

I don't sort my .45 acp brass most of the time, unless I'm going to load something special. There is a lot of variance in wall thickness of .45 acp brass, so that comes into play with certain loads. My informal target shooting loads are loaded into whatever brand of brass happens to come out of the bin when I'm loading them.

Yes, the 10mm is more. I have several of them.

Hope this helps.

Fred
