Have a question….
Found 200 rounds of Olympic M855 (Greek production) in my basement. The stuff was junk (cases out of spec) and about 10 years ago vowed never to use it.
Having some time and extra LC brass, I decided to pull the bullets and re-use the components. I checked the powder weight on the first 50 rounds – they were all over the place from 22.9 grains to 24.4 grains. The average was 23.7 – I took 10% off the top which put me around 21.4 grains. I have no idea on the type of primers that were used in the original cases, I will be using CCI #41 Arsenal primers in my LC brass.
Does anyone have an opinion on my powder load? Could end up with 200 rounds for the price of the primers and a little work….
Thank you

I would weigh a few of the Greek cases and also the LC cases.

If the average weight is near the same, the case capacity is near the same.

Since you reduced 10% below the average weight already, primer type will make no differance.

Were it me, and if the case capacity was the same, I would use the 23.7 average for a charge.

You will be safe with that load. I loaded up 2K pulled bullets last year but I used Ramshot TAC powder.
