I just noticed that Wolf 223 is boxer primed.
Is it feasably reloadable? Would it trash the dies?

Walkalong--There have been several posters on this and other fora who report successfully reloading steel cases. Therefore I believe yr "not reloadable" is not accurate.
That said, some of those same posters admit that it is a hassle, requires extra force on the sizing die, etc, etc. I expect that it's hard on the equipment, also--steel is not as forgiving as is brass.
While good brass for reloading is available (it's not going away any time soon) it would seem folly to futz with reloading steel. Not to say that it can't be done.
But you won't catch ME doing it!

The problem with steel cases is they are not as ductile as brass which is necessary to let the case expand and seal the chamber. Not to mention damage to dies. I won't fool with them. Won't fool with Berdan cases either and thats safer.

i load em.
watch out, not all wolf 223 is reloadable though. there is some floating around with a weird primer, make sure yours is small rifle.
takes a bit extra force, and chammafer the neck before you load. i've gotten 5 loads out of some of it. it does split from resizing though sooner than brass will.
i like to use it for brass that i'll have trouble reclaiming. if im shooting at an informal range, its nice not worrying if i lose half of the brass.

fair enough walkalong. your totally right everyone has a certain level of risk they are willing to operate in. for me, i percieve steel as little to no additional risk. if i'm right or not. . . thats anyone's guess.

Talking about it here, so even the dumb ol' lurkers can see it too, is the whole point.
Also takes the pressure off you to get it all "perfectly right" to start with, you got others to help get to the bottom of anything stated.
Got a good example of that-working right here in this thread too.
In the end anyone reading the thread (carefully) knows as much about it as all the participants put together.
