Hello all, i recently designed a cartridge similar to the 6.5-06 ackley. It has 30 degree shoulder, with .462 shoulder diameter, 2.5 inch case length. I am using 6.5x65 RWS brass to form the case. So far i have tried 3 powders. Best 100 gr ttsx velocity on each
7828 ssc=. 3,340 @ 61 gr
H4831= 3,118 @ 59 gr
Win 760= 3,450 @ 55 gr
The 760 made a big difference in velocity. I loaded this powder in my 270 wsm before it got stolen, and it was a hummer in it. I want to try the rl-17, but would like to see if anyone has improved on velocity with it from win760?
