Rem 1100 Competition Master oversized button

Does anyone know if you can take the 1100 Competition masters carrier and interchange it with the 11-87's carrier? I like the bigger button and I looked at the part# for the carrier on the 1100 vs 11-87 and it looks to be the same. So I figure the 1100 competition masters carrier could fit the 11-87 but I'm not sure since that part# isn't listed... I figure the 1100 competition master can't differ that much from the 1100.

Search Brownells for a Easyloader

I put one on my 11/87 and its really nice. I have also shot a 1100 competition master on a shotgun combat course, and would put this on it.
It completely replaces the button with this device and makes loading FAST.

Depending on your level of gunsmithing ability, you may be able to do it yourself.. or you may need to find a gunsmith to put it on for ya.

However, I think this is the part you really want.

i have an easyloader on my 1100 as well. the only thing is, make sure you push the shells ALL THE WAY into the magazine tube. if it doesn't, it'll wedge it'sself between the easyloader and the loading ramp (or whatever that thing is called).

Sorry to drag this one up, but I'm also curious if it's possible to get the new button from the competition master as well. I've got an old 1100 Magnum that I got a while back that I'd like to upgrade to the larger button if possible. The easyloader looks a little faster, but the competition master part looks a little more snag proof. Any ideas if Remington offers any of the parts from the CM? I'm also interested in the magazine extension. I normally have a 2 round wilson on it, but wouldn't mind having the 4 round for competition. Thanks.

The last I heard from someone who called Remington, you have to order the trigger group to get the new part. They won't sell it without the trigger group (yet).

I just installed the easyloader from Brownells and like it already on the 11-87.

Dittos on the Easyloader from Brownells...

I'm getting used to it, it takes careful handfitting to get the release just right. When I first put it on, you could just look at it, and it would drop the bolt.

Back to the hand-file, and it's near perfect as I can get it... looks high-speed, too

I may trim it down as I've seen others doing, taking the sides off, and trimming the length back some... will post pics if I do it.

Shave about 1/2" off the easyloader. The shells- and your thumb- won't jam, and it's easier to load the shells all the way into the magazine.

Right about the 'Easyloader Thumb(tm)'. My thumb has been pinched in that 'ever-so-lightly' way that advised me a 'Major' pinching is possible for me. I'll be modifying it.

i'm glad someone mentions cutting some length off of the easyloader. i've got one on my 1100 and i've gotten stuck shells. i think i'll do that when i have some free time
