Hi everyone, I hate for this to be my first post, but I have a question for you shotgun experts. I just bought a used 1100 and I am having some problems with it. I got a heck of a deal on it so I can live with having to fix it. Heres the problem: the mag is loaded, and when I bolt it the bolt locks back. I then press the bolt release button on the bottom and the shell goes into the chamber. Then I pull back the bolt, and it ejects the shell and the bolt locks back again. Has anyone had this prob before or know how to fix it? Thanks

It's supposed to do that. :)

When you actually shoot it it won't. At least until the magazine is empty.

Congrats on a great gun, and welcome.

Ditto. Some lock back, some don't. It requires a live shell slapping the, uh, the thingy on the carrier that lets it go up and keeps the bolt going forward.

If you still have the problem when firing, jump back here and post again. This is a really common topic. If you do a search under 1100 malfunction, there are a good number of threads covering this.

WELCOME!!! :)

Thanks for the responses, I should of searched first. I haven't been well enough to shoot it yet, so we will see if it operates in time.
