Wierd idea here, but I’m thinking through a rifle rebuild. It’s my first centerfire rifle so it has some sentimental value as is in .270 win but I’m not opposed to changing the chambering when I rebarrel it. Specifically I’m considering rechambering it to a 7-08. There are 7-08 barrels about so I could buy one of those without going to the expense of a custom barrel. If I put a mag block in the front of the blind magazine on my rifle then that means a full stroke would be required to feed the next shell, but a 3/4 stroke would eject without feeding which is a desirable situation for me. Has anybody done such, and if so how do you like the results?
