I finally picked up my 11-87 Premier this past weekend. It was used and came with a full choke, but the salesman told me if I wanted to switch chokes I could. So I got an extended Rem-Choke Improved Skeet tube that is marked SC2 on the top part of the choke tube.

The question I have is this: Is the constriction of this choke tube in between a Skeet and Improved Cylinder, or is it a Light Modified. I seem to be getting both answers.

Any Ideas?

See this page:

http://www.remington.com/products/accessories/gun_parts/remchoke_specs.asp

It lists all the constrictions for all Rem Chokes.

One great thing about Remington is that they have a wonderful web site, with lots of data and an extensive FAQ section, and their phone tech support is also excellent.

Note that Improved Skeet is very minimal constriction, .002", and Skeet is actually MORE open than Cylinder Bore, with -.005" constriction.
