I have a local dealer who as an 870 Wingmaster for sale. High gloss blue finish, 28"bbl w/synthetic camo stock. Used VG cond. It looks as though it was stored more than shot. The action locks up tight with no discernable rattle in the forearm.

He wants $450. Is this a fair price?

Used gun prices can vary some from region to region, but for around here that's about $100 high.

I'd pay that much or a Wingmaster with good walnut stocks. But since it has camo synthetic I'd pay no more than a used Express would go for. About 1/2 that is all I'd pay.

The high-gloss blue and cammo synthetic furniture sounds like somebody changed out the nice wood.

I'm sure no Remington 870 expert, but I don't think they ever sold them that way??

Agree with the rest. With the original glossy walnut stock, it is a reasonable deal. But with black synthetic stock, I'd either wait for a cheaper one like that, or an original walnut stock'd version for a similar price.

Wingmaster

Does it have variable chokes? If it's an older model with a fixed choke, then a decently clean gun with nice wood would be about $350 around here.
