I hear a lot about how Springfield 1903's are a sought after rifle. My dad has a Remington 30-06 from WWII, but it's Marked Remington M1903A3. Is this an important American rifle, it's in exceptional condition, what might it's worth be?
I've seen them at gunshows in the $400-ish range and up. Matching serial numbers, visible cartouches, excellent condition can raise that into the 600's or so and sometimes more.
It all depends on if it has been sporterized, an orig 03a3 in good cond can go for $800+++ , if its been sporterized there is no historical value left and depending on what has been done to it and by whom value can go from next to nothing on up.
