Went to range today and shot a number of different defense rounds out of my 1956 Colt Agent. I shot Fed Nyclads Non +P 125, Rem non +P 110SJHP, Hornday 110 critical defense, wadcutters and 158 swc. The most accurate round tested in this gun was the remington 110 SJHP on the money and very tight groups. Second was the Nyclads. The rest of the ammo was either way too high or spread out. Shooting was done at about 10 yards. By far the remington was outstanding. My problem is does this ammo expand like the Nyclads and is it worth giving up this accuracy for the nyclad 125. I know the nyclads expand and have a very good reputation does anyone have any data on the remington non +P hp 110? Velocity, pentration expansion. Thoughts?

No it won't expand well from a 2" tube. The nyclad "chief's special" was designed for a snubby and will expand. There are lots of good bullets that expand at snubbie velocities, gold dots, hydrashocks, etc. Great strides have been made in h/p bullets from the ones available 25 or 30 years ago.
