My son just acquired a 1970's Fieldmaster 572 .22 rifle from his grandpa. It is like brand new and has never been fired. I took it to a shop for cleaning and to get it greased, but the man told me that the magazine tube had a piece broken off. It is a small piece that pushes against the ammunition in the magazine tube  .

I am looking for someone who can tell me what the piece is called and how do I go about finding a replacement piece? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's called a "follower". You might be able to find a replacement from Numrich or contact Remington. They still make them.
