Remington 5mm Mag Ammo

I hope this is in the proper forum. Without specifics or a price I didn't think it belonged in classifieds. If I'm wrong I apologize.

A friend reached out to me asking if I knew of anyone interested in factory Remington 5mm Mag ammo. I give my word I will not make a cent on this if he does move it. He says Remington stopped making it in the 80's. I have no knowledge of this , know anything about 5mm Mag nor do I know how much he has or what he wants for it.

the 5mm rimfire that was around about 40 years ago for a short time?

I still have about 20 boxes of the Remington ammo too...and a rifle to shoot it in, but I haven't shot the rifle in many years.

Back in the day, I was really impressed with that cartridge, especially the well designed jacketed bullet Rem. made for it!

It used to as rare as hen's teeth and fairly valuable. Aguila started reproducing 5mm RM ammo a few years ago which almost certainly hurt the value somewhat but I don't know if they still do, or how available it is but I still bet the original stuff would sell quickly. I only notice it because a friend of mine has had one for years, and mentioned at one time the original ammo he has was worth more than the rifle itself.
