Im thinking of getting a Remington 5r 300wm..

Here's the deal, Remington only made 250 of these, they have a 1:10 twist, with a 24" barrel in stainless with an HS stock. People on the interweb claim they do .15"-.25" @ 200...

Next year they will make more in 300wm, but only in the 26" version.

Should I Sell my SPS- Tactical 308 and get the 5r in 300wm?
OR
Should I keep my SPS, And forget about the 5R
Or
Should I keep the SPS, Layaway the 5R??

My only worries are how much will ammo cost??? 308 is bad already, Im planning on reloading....

Would this 5R with the 24" be ok for F-class????

I picked none of the above. A 300 WM will be brutal for F-Class. A lot more efficient calibers out there, with less recoil. And a 24" will work for F-Class, just another disadvantage.

I would keep your SPS. You may have unrealistic expectations of the 5R. Sniper Central has a good recent review of a 700P 5R in 308. It shot a little better than other Remington 700's but not much better.

I have a 700P 5R in 308 and agree with the Sniper Central review. The advantage of the 5R is a little more accuracy, stainless steel action, and the HS Precision stock.

The 5R may be worthwhile to get to have a nice second 700 or for the 300 WM.
