Hi all, I purchased a NIB 1993 Rem 700 200th edition blonde curly walnut stock. This is a 700 BDL 30-06, I am trying to find what it is worth. Thanks for any info. Mac

The only anniversary edition shown in my book is the 50th BDL edition, if 2A6F149A-6DB1-47E7-A596-772F3DA4F135.jpeg 8BEE98CE-1FEA-45BB-8C16-55C3659E2220.jpeg that helps. I have a 700 ADL 1816-2016 200 anniversary myself, also in 30-06.

Best I can tell Remington was founded in 1816. The “blonde curly stock” is likely hard maple. I’ve seen several around and they can be stunning.

Sorry I should have provided more info. Eliphalet Remington II was born in 1793 and 1993 would have been 200th anniversary of him. Funny story about this gun is I was just looking for a 30-06 and a friend who was also a customer of mine had his FFL and said he couldn't find what he considered a deal other than this rifle. He actually sold a half dozen or so of this model and that blond stock is beautiful. Of course I swapped it out for a thumbhole to hunt with as this stock is too pretty to hunt with.

Hard to tell from the picture but that does not look much different than a regular 700 ADL except the blond wood.

Remington as a company 200th anniversary year was in 2016 and they made some fairly fancy versions of the 870, 1100, 7600, 700, and 1911. Gold inlays, engraving, and fancy wood. The 700 for that series was in 7mm Remington Magnum.

Not sure I would pay much extra for either though I am not much into fancy guns or anniversary guns. I have the 200th anniversary 1911 but that is my one and only safe queen.

Wow. I was just looking at the bicentennial models online, specifically the 870 Wingmaster. I was also curious about the current value of these. They are beautiful. Especially the run of 4 each available model that came out of the custom shop. I imagine those are big $$$....

I would trade a kidney for one of those 200th anniversary 870's....

Any item is worth what the seller and buyer agree upon.

I have 100th Anniversary Marlin .30-30. It is not a safe queen. I don't do safe queens. It had been fired before I bought it and many times since. I have bought other firearms that were unfired. All have been fired.

They were built to be shot.

Beautiful rifle, enjoy it.

Anniversary editions are fine if you want a safe queen to put up and look at and admire occasionally and not ever use.
