Thanks for everyone's insight on my being paranoid. I know barrels are made to withstand a lot of heat but the myths got ahold of me. Sorry about starting a fight on this thread but I sure did learn a lot from all of it! As the barrel got hotter after the rifle was sighted in, it remained consistent, no change that I could see that would prove that the temperatures I reached affected the accuracy. After a thorough cleaning, the bore looks great, Thanks!
