Remington 700 date code

I have a Remmy 700 in 280. My favorite gun to hunt with. I am trying to date it but I cannot make out the code on the barrel. I think the last letter should indicate the year but I cannot come up with what it is. Can anyone look at this and help me out?

I think I answered my own question...............using the DR instead of the A? it comes out to be 9/97
