Remington 700 SPS-V help

Hey everyone, I have a question I need help with and after searching through other threads and posts, I couldn't find the answers I needed, so if this does happen to be a repeat post, I apologize.

I'm probably going to buy a remington 700 SPS Varmint for long range shooting. I know that the stock they come with is not free-floated and would like to get a free-floated stock for it. I'm thinking about getting the Hogue overmolded stock with the varmint channel for the rifle, but I was wondering if anyone knows if any modifications will have to be made to the stock, or if it will be a pretty easy drop-in fit?
Any help would be great.

Hogue stocks come 2 ways, pillar bedded and full length bedded. The full length is the way to go. It should be a drop in fit and free float right then.

As with any stock, if you want to go the extra step, you can glass bed the reciever completly into the stock. This would fully and rigidly stabilize it for your best chance of accuracy.

Of course, being the curious sort, I'd shoot the rifle first and see what sort of accuracy I had. If it wasnt consistant, I'd open up the barrel channel to free float and try again. Then if need be, I'd go to another stock.
