I hunt mild fall weather in CA and Nasty winter weather in CO. I really like the look of the CDL and the classic look of wood and blue, but with the nasty weather I hunt in CO, I think the XCR would be a better choice. Which one would you all go with between the two given the hunting conditions I am in mostly? Do you think that the CDL be okay in CO for a seven day hunt? Thanks!!!

As much as I like the look of the CDLs I have handled , the mention of nasty weather and blued steel/ walnut does not seem to go to together well! I would get the rifle that would be the most resistant to the elements.

take care of your gun, and the blued/walnut will do fine. it has for decades and decades.

i hunt w/ whatever rifle i want at the time, and about 90% of the time that equates to blue/walnut in freezing rain, snow, whatever...
