Remington 798 vs. 700?

I have a Remington 700 ADL in .270. Thinking of getting a 30.06 for an elk hunt next year. Anyone have experience with the mauser action 798? I'm happy with my 700 ADL and the reputation of the 700 is hard to beat.

Lots of folks have had experience with that action when it was imported as a Charles Daly Mauser.

I believe the 798 is reputed to be of much rougher manufacturing quality with lower fit and finish quality than the rest of the Remington line.
