Remington 870 forearm re-install

Sooo, I swaped out my plastic forearm on my 870 for a wood one. Now I cannot get the thing back in. I don't want to force it, and it is stuck and will not go further in or come out. Me no likey...

I was pressing on the internal spring and it wasn't helping. Then I pulled the trigger and now I fear it's really screwed up.

What am I doing wrong?

Okay, looks like I fixed it by removing the trigger assembly and forcing the arms back out and then pressing on the springs while re-inserting, and then replacing the trigger assembly.

The shell stops need to be pressed in one at a time (left side first IIRC) as you slide the foreend bars and bolt carrier in. guess you figured that out.
