Ok i have been wanting a pump shotgun for home duty and have picked the remington 870 20ga 6 + 1 now i hate plastic does the wood stock for the 12ga fit the 20g? Also whats the best 20ga load for a house as 00 does sound so good in 20ga as how much will fit?

I do not think 12g will fit 20g stocks. I tryed to get a new stock for my 870 and I had to check and it would not accept the 12g model, I used to have the name for it. It is a very rare find for the 20g full lenght stock, I found 1 on ebay but it was like $80 I figure I rather pay $200 more and get a new gun again lol

The modern 20ga. version is a small frame LW gun, and 12ga will not fit.

You can use the standard birch type wood from the 20ga express guns, and some expresses were made with laminated wood. (laminated would be my choice in wood)

If you want realy nice wood you would have to get a walnut set for the Wingmaster.

PS: 2&3/4 inch #3 buckshot is the most widely used 20 ga. load for HD .
