Hi my fellow Highroaders... Highroadians? Anyway, I have a question about a remington 870. I have a remington 870 20 gauge that I want to get wood furniture for because... well wood is awsome, especially with one of those old leather army slings I have in the back of my closet :D which doesnt look so good with the synthetic :( . Will a 12 gauge wood set fit at all, maybe only the stock or at the pump, or will it not fit at all in any way? Thanks.

You will need a 20 gauge stock. I know some have a few things to say about Ebay but I have had wonderful experiences with them. I do know that Remington stocks are listed on Ebay. You will be able to find Wingmaster and Express stocks there.

The only 20 ga that a 12 ga stock will fit is the standard weight 20 ga. Like others have said, it will not work with the light weight 20.

Thanks.wenig does make some beautiful stocks :D . Does anyone have anything to say about the wood thumbhole stocks on a shotgun, I know it looks less traditional but does it have any advantages/dissadvantages over a traditional stock?

The more vertical your grip, the more muzzle climb there will be from a shot. Thumb hole stocks aren't ideal for bird hunting, but for turkey and slug guns they have their uses for some.
