Well, last year I was looking around for slugs to use in my Mossberg 500 20GA with a rifled barrel. I found Remington Buckhammers and tried them out and they worked perfectly and at 8 bucks a box they were cheap for sabots. Well, according to various sites they are now "discontinued by the manufacturer".
So i have been looking around and I found these. They are Nobel Sport "Law Enforcement" 2 2/4" slugs. On various sites, I have seen them for about $110 for a case of 200 shipped. This sounded like too good of a deal to be true. Then I read that they have a velocity of 1350fps. Is it just me, or is that really low?
Also, I am not sure if they can be used in a rifled barrel. But, after seeing pictures of the actual projectile, they appear to be brenneke knockoffs, I don't see why not. I have an email into the company to see what they recommend.
If anyone has any advice or experience with these I would love to hear it. Or if anybody knows of a cheap alternative that would be great too!!!
