After looking at some mosberg models, I cant seam to find an exact Remingtom model that is similar. The first model is the 500 Mariner 9-shot. SS shotguns look cool with black furniture :D and I really like hos there is no mag extender, the mag tube is made to hold 8 rounds. The second Mossberg model in question is the 590 9shot with Heat Shield and Speedfeed Stock. Im not really interested in the speedfeed stock, but it just looks great. Also I like the safety placement of the Mossbergs and some have bayonet lug.

Now that being sad, I dont think Remington offer anything that is a "direct replacement" for the above models, But does anyone make aftermarket parts that would make a Remmy a "direct replacement" for the Mossberg models?

Well, re a Remmy replacement, if you're a Mossberg fanatic, no

But the Remington 870 comes in many models and variations with tons of aftermarket accessories available. Check out a tactical forum and I'm sure someone can tell you exactly how to dress an 870.

This is too easy.

Look at Remington's website.
Here are some links to the Remington counterparts that you have noticed from Mossberg.

Remington Express Synthetic 18”

To each his own. That's why they make chocolate, vanilla and strawberry.

Look at the above models. You will see more 'comonality' than you can ever imagine.
As for the heat shield. . . . not really needed on a 'tactical' shotgun, IMO. It may look 'cool' but, wait and think again when it flies off in the 'heat of battle.' The heat shield is a gimmick, as far as I'm concerned. Something to trap dirt and moisture underneath of. Again, chocolate, or vanilla, or strawberry.
Same for a bayonet lug. IF I get THAT close that I need a bayonet, I'm in the wrong fight.

This is one area where Remington is WAY ahead of Mossberg or any other brand.
Any shotgun accessory made is made to fit the 870.

Since the 870 is the most popular gun, and is the most easily modified, anyone making a shotgun accessory makes it for the 870 before any other.

Brownell's is a good place to buy accessories, and whatever they sell is top quality.

They sell several different brands of magazine extensions, stocks, forearms, sights, and other accessories.
