Will a Remington 870 stock fit a Mossberg 500?

I am looking to try out a Speedfeed pistol grip stock on a Mossberg 500. The stock I want to try is the one pictured below.

I cannot find a Mossberg 500 model of it (it seems they make it but it must be discontinued as I can't find anywhere selling it) but there are plenty of 870 and Win 1200 models of the stock for sale.

My question is, will the Remington 870 version also fit a 500?

And if not, by how much do the stocks differ? Is it something a little dremel'ing and ingenuity can make fit?

And please no pistol grip lectures. This particular one is intended to be a range toy and nothing more. I much prefer a regular stock for actual use.

There's a question about whether or not they actually made one for the Mossy at all, DK. They swore they did....but I've had them mail me three directly from the factory for the Mossy 500 and gotten R870 parts instead every time. They swear the parts are the same but they aren't. The R870 is clearly stamped "R870". The 870 grip is about a half an inch too narrow for the Mossy....the receiver will overhang the grip by 1/4" on both sides. The top roughly lines up with the receiver but the bottom hangs about 1/4-1/2" too low....and that low plastic, sharp edged, cuts your finger after two or three rounds. The 870 grip also has a squared off trigger guard opening that doesn't fit the round Mossy guard....and to get it to fit, you have to first start the grip bolt and then hold the grip in rough alignment as you tighten it which risks stripping the bolt hole in the receiver as you force it. The bottom edge can be smoothed with a Dremel....the other three sides are too little material already so cutting more doesn't fix them.

Bottom line? It doesn't fit. Can't be made to fit in any easy way.

Midway once sold those "Mossy" Speedfeed bird's head grips....last time I looked, they had a 17 negative rating and got dropped from the entire site. If they were still there, you could have read the feedbacks.

Why would you want to? Thats just silly. Don't crossbreed, history has shown it never turns out well. Example(tv show "swamp people")
